Business Spotlight - 5 Green Boxes

Who?

The owners of the 5 green boxes stores, Charlotte Elich and Carrie Vadas, are both incredibly creative and talented.  But put the two together and imaginative sparks fly.  The duo envision their stores as blank canvasses in need of filling with all things beautiful, useful, interesting, useless,  whimsical and new, all of it displayed with more wit and charm than you can imagine.

5 Green Boxes Big Store

What? and Where?

The small store is at 1596 South Pearl Street on Denver’s Old South Pearl Street.  It is a jam packed jewel box crammed full of “gifty-poos” for any girl of any age, or better yet, for you!  Treat yourself to shoes with straps and rose printed socks, bracelets, bangles and purses galore, tiny tops and linen smocks, belts and chapeaux, baubles and beads.

The big store, 5 green boxes – unpacked, is just one block south at 1705 South Pearl Street.  The loft-like space is so brightly decorated you will want to move right in.  There are so many fun things for the home, you will want to takethem all to yours.  As if by magic, upholstered furniture as cheery as a fist full of mid-summer blooms emerges from the on-site work room, along with specially painted (rescued) wood furniture.  (Commissions are welcome!)  If it’s details you are after, pick up a stack of napkins, a night light or center piece, a spring basket or feather soft cushions. Need some new tunes or a gift for the guy in your life?  Plus the coolest, complimentary gift wrap in town!
