Gifts under $50 - Online, unique & still local

Today I discovered that Etsy.com, that fabulous online retailer for crafters & artists to sell their art & collectibles to folks who love handmade goodness, has a "Shop Local" function that allows you to find Etsy sellers near your location.

Check out some of the beautiful stuff I found from people right here in Denver:

These wooden butterflies are made by porkshopshow, who offers all kinds of pretty, random woodcuts modeled from vintage keys, tickets and clockworks. These butterflies were just $6.50 for seven.

Next I bought a belt from god'swear that's made from a recycled suit. Here's another that they have for sale for just $21.00, made from men's tuxedo pants:

There are over 100 stores near Denver that have been recently updated. So even if you're staying home because of the cold, be sure to keep your $ local and enjoy unique finds for the holidays!
