Welcome to the Mile High Business Alliance
The Mission of the Mile High Business Alliance is to build better community through better business. We help people find and support local business, and are building an alliance of local businesses who are working together to build a stronger local economy - sharing best practices, doing business together, and helping each other compete against non-local business. We're not about 'business as usual,' but are local entrepreneurs and community members who are designing, influencing and building what's next.

Local News and Events
MHBA Launches New Mile High Biz Blog
There's so much happening in the local business community and with other local first organizations throughout the country that we decided it was time to find a better way to share all that news with all of you. Visit our blog for news, thoughts and updates related to the business alliance and local business community.
Connecting Entrepreneurs and Investors
One of our newest members, The Business Catapult, connects entrepreneurs with potential investors. Their Benchmark Survey will help you examine whether your new business is ready to be funded by investors, and prepare you to submit an investment summary for review by potential investors. Even if you're not yet prepared to seek investment, this in-depth and free survey is a great way to get another perspective on the development of your business.
Colorado Local First Directory Now in Beta Release
We're very pleased to have the Colorado Local First business directory now online. The directory allows you to:
- Discover local businesses near you
- Learn more about their impact on our region
- Recommend your favorite businesses to others
If you have a company based in Colorado, make sure we have at least basic information about your business. This makes it easier for people to find you. Any Colorado-based business gets a free basic listing, which includes: business name, address, telephone number, web address and categories. MHBA members are able to add/edit a logo, slogan, text description, multiple locations, business categories, and online contact form.
To make sure we have your info, please search for your business name (probably your legal name) in the keyword search. When viewing your listing, click on "Enhance This Listing" and fill out the form. You'll be contacted by one of our staff to verify your information.
If you can't find your business, not to worry. Just send us a message and we'll contact you to get your listing set up.
As an individual, you can help others learn about great local businesses by posting reviews and rating businesses. To get started go online and create your user account. An email address is required for posting reviews.
Since this is a beta release, we welcome your feedback and help. This is a community tool, and we want it to be something that helps build connections between people and local business. Please use our online contact form to let us know if you have ideas about the directory or any problems using the site. We will continue to improve the directory functionality and content in the coming weeks.
