Original t-shirts. Three unique designs. You know you want one. Perhaps our "Denver is My New Hometown" shirt?

Shirts were printed by IndyInk, a local screen printer on S. Broadway. At only $15, they're the coolest way to stay cool this summer.

Confused by "Local?"
We've noticed there are a lot of online resources out there that promise to help you find local businesses. Trouble is, we think they're confused by what local really means.

When we say "local," we mean businesses that are rooted in the community - primarily because of being locally owned and operated, not national chains that are nearby.

When we seek out goods and services provided by our neighbors, we're getting one-of-a-kind items, but also the experience of being more connected to our community.

In the past year, we've learned a lot about the people and organizations who provide information, ideas, training and assistance for local and small business. It's time we have a better way to share these resources with you. We're happy to announce that the Mile High Business Alliance web site now features a resource section for everything from sales & marketing to greener business to taxes & legal info. Take a look and let us know about some of your favorite resources, so we can share those, too. (And don't worry, the resources section is a dynamic work-in-progress, so you'll see more and more great stuff each week!)

Creative Space Agent Launching Soon
A community resource for listing and finding spaces for creative enterprise
As local business owner, we think you'd like to know about the Creative Space Agent, a new Web site that

the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs (DOCA) is creating. The Creative Space Agent will be a free Web portal designed to advertise space to Denver’s creative community. When fully operational, the site will allow creative businesses, artists and arts organizations to search for and promote available performance, rehearsal, studio, business and housing space that meet their unique needs. This project is an outgrowth of the Mayor’s Task Force on Creative Spaces. (Read More)
